The Land - Iceland. A mythology

Within the ancient race that inhabited what is now India, a Knowledge of the Gods was part of their culture. As that race slowly migrated north to Europe, it had a goal and that goal was to establish Althing in the land of God - Island. Althing was a deliberate attempt to recreate the laws of the Heavens on Earth.

Island is now wrongly named Iceland and is by no means a land of ice. The correct name, Island, means a land of God, since Is is an ancient name for God.

Certain elder men or man of Knowledge represented and manifested this wisdom from the Gods. These men of knowledge were called “godar”. The godar were destined to fulfil the original goal and finally reached the land of God - Island - in the late ninth century. Along with the godar came the Vikings, the sorcerers and sorceresses or herbalists with their ancient knowledge of the power of herbs. The Althing, which may be related to the god of assembly and justice, Thinchus was established. The Althing was the first legislative assembly of the civilised man to settle disagreements without vendetta and the godar, 36 in all headed the Althing.

The painful birth of Christianity in Europe was soon to reach Iceland. The godar were waiting for this moment and had prepared the Icelandic nation. In the year 1000 AD. Iceland became a Christian nation in peace - no blood was shed because the godar had prepared for this new beginning. The expansion of the consciousness of the human race continued with voyages of discovery - Leifur Eiriksson finding Vinland (North America), Christopher Columbus also discovering America whilst looking for a new route to the Indies, Prince Henry the Navigator (of Portugal) and many other explorers and adventures. The world became round, the circle was completed and a new experience awaiting mankind.

Iceland, the land of God, is a place of power, energy, contrasts and creations. Today it is still a clean land, free of man-made pollution and also largely free of some of the sleazier aspect of modern life. It is a land of wisdom and peace.
